Our love of Italy started in 1998, and after 21 years of touring this beautiful part of the world, we made the decision to open Mamma's in 2019. Now with our classically trained new head chef Matthew Blease, who has worked in some of the best restaurants in the country, we bring you our own very special touches to some of the finest tastes in Italy right here.
Try Mamma’s Bar and More for decadent desserts from crepes, to ice cream, and a great choice of hand chosen beers and wines.

The best Italian in the area! I had a fabulous time here with a friend, the service was fab and the food was incredible. I had the calzone and I think it was probably the best I've ever had, there was so much filling!! The desserts also looked amazing although unfortunately I was too full to try them, maybe next time! The new menu did not disappoint and we are looking forward to going back again already.
Our new hardworking, creative and passionate head chef, Matthew Blease is originally from Devon but grew up on the East Coast where his passion for cooking and baking began in his Grandma’s kitchen. Having qualified from catering college over 19 years ago, his culinary journey has taken him everywhere from small family run businesses to some of the country’s top Michelin restaurants.
He brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge and loves working with fresh ingredients, creating new dishes and has a passion for freshly produced Italian inspired food. Being a father of three girls he understands the value of enjoying tasty, home cooked meals surrounded by love ones. We feel he will be a great asset to our restaurant by supporting and striving to deliver our ethos of “Sharing the love of Italian occasion.”
